Bairdy's back with a'fifty'

Adam missed the 2007 season but hopefully will be back in action in 2008.

Baird Boundary

Adam has scored good runs for the 2nds this year and deserves the honour of opening the batting in the Junior Cup final in August.

Adam got us off to a good start in the Colts' Cup Final (2005)

Adam is front row extreme right

Adam Baird is an exciting young 3rd XI talent.  He is a left hander and, typical of the breed, loves to punish the leg side delivery. When he arrives on time he opens the batting where he has scored 77 (v Waringstown), 48 (v Derriaghy). Batting at No. 4 he scored his biggest total so far with 87 (v Woodvale). This innings included 11 'fours' and a big 'six'.

'Bairdy'  is also capable of not troubling the scorers (v Cooke/Coll) and of bowling with a very wet ball ( 0 for 8 off 1 over v Saintfield)

There is a serious rumour that he will bowl a decent spell before the season is over. No he didn't

2006 Bairdy has established himself as a regular 2nd XI opener and will look forward to a Junior Cup Final appearance.
