 CONVINCING WIN FOR FIRSTS
Sunday 18 July 2010 Ryan Haire inspires North Down. See RESULTS Section for detailed scorecard
This game was dominated by an outstanding batting display from Ryan Haire who five fours and two sixes in his 52 runs.
Andrew Sutherland (32), Taimur Khan (28) and Daniel Harding (21) played supporting roles and the 159 total was always going to a good chase.
Off the first ball of the CSNI innings Nigel Jones top edged a Gavin McKenna delivery high over backward point and Ryan Haire took 'the catch of the season' so far as he held on with perfect judgement.
The North Down bowlers all performed well with the wickets spread around and this fine win keeps the pressure on the side with only 2 more points.
