North Down progressed comfortably to the last eight in the Irish Senior Cup with a win at The Green against Phoenix.

James Cameron Dow took 3 wickets for 30, the key one being the dismissal of Emmanuel Peterson the Brisbane based Phoenix Pro.

Opener Chris Muir took 2 and Taimur Khan, Peter Eakin, Marty Moreland and Ryan Haire 1 each in an innings that showed only flashes of good batting.

The tail hung on to record 129 after the side was 95 for 8 and again the inability to finish sides off must be a little concerning for NDCC.

129 was never enough and although 2 wickets fell for 28, Ryan Haire's 70 was impressive with 9 fours and 3 sixes and he was ably supported by Taimur.

The 7 wicket win sent the side into the last eight and a trip to Coleraine on Sunday 29th June.
