Ian now hopefully will retain his position in the 'Sixers' and we'll follow his progress in the big competition in October in India.
Fox Sports Final Report
The Sixers have defied all the odds tonight! They travelled across to the WACA where no side has defeated the Scorchers all tournament and lost the toss too which put them well on the back foot, but they got the perfect start with Brett Lee claiming 2 wickets in the first over of the match to turn the match on its head. Their bowlers kept on top of the Scorchers batsmen except for Marsh(77*) who led the Scorchers to 156. With that total the Scorchers would have had a feeling that they needed to bowl at their best if they were to successfully defend the total, but Moses Henriques(72) wasn't going to let anyone get in between him and the Sixers from winning the trophy with a powerful array of boundaries. He was rightfully awarded the Man of the Match award for his efforts. He was also assisted by O'Keefe(48) and Smith(21*) who stood up when it counted. For the Scorchers bowlers, it just wasn't their night with Edmondson 2-30 and Coulter-Nile 0-23 being the pick of the crop.
