 SUCCESSFUL TWENTY20 TOURNAMENT
Saturday 19 April 2008 DOWNPATRICK WIN THRILLER
TWENTY20 SUCCESS AT THE GREEN
Downpatrick, playing Section 2 cricket this season, deservedly won the inaugural North Down Twenty20 tournament at The Green.
Generously sponsored by ONE STOP MORTGAGE SHOP the competition saw teams from Lisburn, Ardmore and Downpatrick join the hosts in what was an enjoyable pre season encounter.
A crisp Taito straight six snatched the game from North Down with two balls remaining. Surely the Strangford Road team will bounce back to where they belong next season.
