 YOUNG GUNS BLAST BANGOR
Sunday 27 April 2008 Brilliant performances from North Down youth

Michael Martin who took 5 for 56 against Bangor
The 2nd XI, with a new look side packed with young players defeated a strong Bangor team at The Green on Saturday.
Matthew Campbell, designated as 3rd XI captain for this season, has posed a question mark for the selectors as he hammered his way to a first match 78. Gary Patterson, not new to the tensions of the local derby, scored 49 and young Scott Irvine, thrown into a batting role didn't let his skipper down with a fine 36.
The young guns fired to devastating effect with the ball as Michael Martin and Matthew Knaggs turned in remarkable and classy performances the former taking 5 and the latter 4 wickets as they removed the key Bangor batsmen and 'cleaned up the tail'.

Wicket keeper McMillan avoids a bail in the eye as Knaggs strikes
It was a terrific win for the side and is a real confidence booster before the crucial Junior Cup encounter with Templepatrick next month.
