North Down , Waringstown, Bangor and CSNI from the NCU go through to the 2nd round and join Brigade, Limavady, Glendermott and Strabane from the NWCU

Following on after their heroic effort in the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup, Killymallaght suffered in the field and collapsed under the initial firepower of Peter Connell and Taimur Khan. Marty Moreland picked up 2 wickets for 3 runs and Ryan Haire had his first competitive bowling of the season.

The North Down total, having batted first on a good wicket reached 255 with Jo Montgomery hitting another impressive century and Andrew Sutherland posting 59.
