Peter Eakin was selected for the NCU Under 13 team that became the Interprovincial Champions on Friday.
Friday was the all-important day for the 3-day tournament after the games had to be abandoned on the previous two days.
On Wednesday NCU batted first against North West at Eglinton, but the game was stopped shortly after lunch. Again on Thursday NCU batted first against Leinster at Coleraine but the game had to be abandoned before Leinster could reply.
Consequently the championship all hinged on the last day and a complex formula was in place to determine the winners. Runs scored divided by wickets conceded were the crucial factors, with run rate not playing any part. North West played Leinster at Eglinton and NCU faced Munster at Drummond.
Munster batted first and scored 95 for 8. NCU reached this total with the loss of 2 wickets after 32. Peter batted 1st wicket down scoring 24 not out making him the second highest scorer of the team and of the tournament.
