Matthew was very unlucky to be omitted from the 11 for the Junior Cup final as his ability to score quick runs and his fielding prowess are well known to all.
Matthew 'Soupy' Campbell is the sort of all rounder every team needs. He is a key player on the 3rdXI and has shown that he can score runs at a higher level. He is the 3rds wicket keeper and when not required in that role is an excellent fielder who can bowl 'Chinamen'. But it is as a batsman that he has shown real class at times. His 29 (v Carrick) included 6 'fours', one a memorable stylish cover drive, while his undefeated 34 (v Woodvale) included a trademark 'six' into the top ground conifers.

With the proff behind him Matthew could be rightly proud of his undefeated 114 against Cooke/Collegians
